ProForm Crossover Elliptical
The ProForm Crossover Elliptical trainer is a very
good buy, even at $800.00 and it's also the only
elliptical machine of its kind made by ICON, which also
makes training equipment for Nordic Track and Reebok. A notable
feature about this ProForm Crossover Elliptical is
that it's compact and in essence it consists of
2 machines combined into one. It's ideal for anyone
that wishes to do cardio workouts, as well as
strength training and who may not have a lot of extra
space.
Features of The Proform
Crossover Elliptical
The ProForm Crossover Elliptical is about 85 inches
high, 37 inches wide and 83 inches deep. It is
small for a strength trainer even though it's a
large elliptical. It supports a maximum user weight of
about 250 pounds. This can be a limiting factor if you are
either very bulky or significantly overweight. Of
course, this model is not not intended to be
used for body building, and neither is the ProForm
Crossover Elliptical portable.
On the downside, the ProForm crossover elliptical
isn't very comfortable when used, though that's a problem
with many other elliptical machines as well. Still, it
could have been better if it had handles on the
sides. It does have a pair of small handles which are placed at
chest height if you aren't very tall. On the other hand,
it does make you sit in the correct posture, even though
there is still a bit of strain on the back. The handles do come
with heart rate sensors built into them so you can view your
heart rate on a console in front of you while you exercise.
Start the machine is easy. It has pedals placed close to
the ground which is nice if you aren't very tall.
The treads on the pedals are nice and there's also a lip
that helps keep your feet from slipping forward. It also has
magnetic resistance so you can expect to get a
smooth and quiet ride.

Overall, the ProForm Crossover Elliptical is a decent
machine and despite not getting an extended warranty, most
buyers still like it, though it's designed specifically for
home use and not practical for use in a gym. You'll get most
out of it when you use it at home and though it's not the
best machine for strength training, it's still
very adequate and at the price it's a steal. Get more
